FCPCS is a non-profit membership association of Florida public charter schools that provides advocacy, support, resources, and networking opportunities to new and existing charter schools, parents and students. We also work to promote the charter school movement in Florida and throughout the country.
Our mission is to provide a seamless system of support that promotes the establishment and operation of high quality Florida charter schools and supports the success of Florida's charter school movement at-large.
Our vision is to create a national model of high quality accredited charter schools that are student-centered and performance-driven.
The Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) was founded as a grassroots organization in 1999 by five of Florida’s earliest charter school operators. After receiving numerous requests for help from new charter schools, the group decided to form a statewide consortium that would provide a range of technical assistance and professional development services to Florida charter schools and their stakeholders. Since that time, FCPCS has grown to be one of the largest and most influential charter school associations in the nation advocating on behalf of charter schools and the families they serve.
FCPCS is governed by a diverse board of Florida charter school operators who understand firsthand the day-to-day challenges of running a charter school.
